Ištvan Išt Huzjan was born on June 1st, 1981, in Ljubljana. In 2005 he graduated from the Accademia di belle arti di Venezia, Department of Painting. He registered his own book-publishing house 21st Century Books in 2006. In 2009 he finished an artist-in-residency programme on Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He collaborates with galleries: Galerie Mirko Mayer, Cologne, Germany, and Galerija Ganes Pratt, Ljubljana, Slovenia. In 2010 he cofounded together with artists: Igor Ševčuk, Taf Hassam, Byungjun Kwon, Mounira Al Solh, Rumiko Hagiwara, Ben Pointeker, Aukje Koks, Hee-Seung Choi, the collective Goleb in Amsterdam. He lives and works between Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Ljubljana, Slovenia.
